Palmenhaus is a fictional Taiji and meditation studio in the old greenhouse of the Old Botanical Garden Zürich. The studio teaches the principles and practices of Zen Buddhism for contemporary urban people. 

I created an extensive brand design to reflect Zen philosophy and aesthetics. The grid filled partially with photographs of plants shot through the glass walls of the greenhouse draws from the looks of the actual building, as well as the love for both rectangles and nature in Japanese aesthetics. The cryptic messages on the posters are Zen Koans — simple, often paradoxical phrases designed to trigger a spontaneous awakening experience in the student.
