This work of Design Fiction explores a totalitarian state in the future which attempts to enforce perfect hygiene and cleanliness. The project operates under the name “Allgemeine Sauberkeit”, translating to “General Cleanliness”. A full-blown propaganda publication, as well as a series of packaging designs for standardized hygiene products and pharmaceutical compounds make tangible artifacts from this imaginal dystopia.

Surreal, sterile photography, a modern Swiss typeface, and a visible grid let the design express order and cleanliness visually.
